International Charity Day - Our New Goal

At Daya, charity has been at the heart of everything we do since the beginning. Our mission has always been to give back to the communities in India that inspire and create our jewelry by providing the families that live within them with the tools they need to thrive. We work closely with Fior Di Loto India to make this dream a reality.

Fior Di Loto is a non-profit foundation, whose goal is to provide impoverished girls in Pushkar, India with resources such as food, healthcare, and education. As a non-profit, support for Fior Di Loto comes entirely through volunteer work and donations. At DAYA we contribute 10% of proceeds from all purchases to Fior Di Loto to ensure that they can continue to improve the lives of those most in need. 

The COVID-19 pandemic hit communities like those in Pushkar especially hard, leaving many families without income to purchase basic necessities such as food. With your help and support, Daya was able to donate over 3000 food packs to families in need over the last year, each with enough food to feed an entire family for two weeks. Now, we’re setting a new goal.

Education is one of the most important factors in transforming the lives of those most impoverished, and we want to help create a world where every child has the opportunity to go to school without financial burden. Annual tuition for one student in Pushkar is about 250€. Our goal is to cover school tuition fees for 100 girls in the Pushkar community, and we need your help.

Daya will be doubling our contribution to Fior Di Loto for all purchases made on International Charity Day. This means 20% of all proceeds earned on September 5th will go directly toward covering school fees for girls in Pushkar. Donations to Fior Di Loto can also be made directly through the link.

We believe that conscious change starts with the choices we make, and that includes where we choose to shop. Together, we can make a difference.
